ABOUT ROXIE

Someone asked me once what I stood for as a minister. My mind took me many places and I finally settled on this...

I stand for love, the most transformational power on earth. I stand for peace, the power of creation. I stand for joy, the root that keeps me grounded on earth. I stand with the Father, my provider and I stand with the Christ, my teacher and friend. And with the help of the Holy Spirit I stand against that which is not light. These things I stand for, with and against are what I bring to the title minister.

Then someone asked me about my past and how I came to be a minister.

As a child I would talk with God and angels on a very regular basis. I would see people who had passed on and hear them speak to me. I could see light emanating from all living things and even see colors. After awhile I learned that particular vibrations accompanied what I was seeing and hearing.

As a teen I struggled with my gifts and my own emerging sexuality. I had many unanswered questions from my Baptist upbringing and why God would create me in a way that was opposite from the church.

By the time I graduated high school I had already attempted suicide once. In my college days I tried two more times. The third and final time I took several Valium, drank them down with a small bottle of rum and got in my car to drive. Five hours later I was completely sober, awake, having no indication of vomiting, and I was ANGRY. I couldn't even kill myself right.

It was the beginning of my own salvation. God had created a miracle in sparing my life, which took me over a year to realize, btw. In the years to pass many more miracles were yet to be received and witnessed by me. I discovered purpose. And finally I was made ready to teach the word of God.

So today although it is my deepest desire to help others, I know that I cannot. "Apart from the Father I can do nothing," was the declaration of the Christ. So, with His Wisdom, I have been given the ability to lead others to the spiritual path of their own deep and abiding relationship with their God.

My formal training came through the metaphysical church to which I am forever grateful for their guidance in understanding the gifts that Spirit has blessed me with. I have a title of Minister of Spiritual Sciences and graduated a ministerial curriculum in 1996. I do not however, consider myself as metaphysical in faith.

I do practice principles of Christianity and endeavor to follow the teachings of Jesus in the New Testament of the Holy Bible. I study many paths of spirituality and stay away from "religiosity" or "churchianity". Much of what I teach comes through my own personal meditations as I ponder the Word as well as draw from a diverse self-educated pallet of teachings both modern and ancient.

Thank you for taking a moment to take a glimpse of my life. May it encourage you on your own journey.

Peace, love and joy to you. Amen.
